There is so much in our daily lives that we take for granted, however for many people around the world the opportunities we enjoy are not available to them.
Without a Primary Education:
You could not read or write
Your only method of communication is to talk to someone
You could not use a computer
You could not go on to secondary, further or higher education and would have limited job prospects
Primary Education is the foundation that we build upon for the rest of our lives.
Primary Education for All
Primary education provides children with better chances to explore new ideas, spend time with children of same age group and to develop their individual skills and personality. It is a child’s first step into academic learning and often into a usual daytime routine.
United Nations Declaration of Human Rights
Every year around 67 million children worldwide, many of them girls, do not receive these opportunities. Access to free primary education is part of the United Nation’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights and was reaffirmed as one of the Millennium Development Goals with all countries charged with providing all children with access to free primary education by 2015.
